CAT & Genny
CAT or Cable Avoidance Tool is used to discovering underground cables to prevent accidents and loss due to damage to underground cables. The CAT works in three modes. The power mode is used to find underlying electricity cables through radiation. The radio mode is used to detect metallic pipes through radio signals. The Genny mode (Generator Mode) is used with CAT for finding any underground wiring, pipes and cables. The Genny produces signals on connecting with the CAT for detection.
CAT & Genny are used in extensively at construction sites and scenarios that require excavation for any purpose.
CAT & Genny training will include surveying, gauging depths, functions of the CAT, reading and interpreting frequencies and signals, checking for possibilities, reading and drawing underground layout plans, and techniques of using Electromagnetics fundamentals for detection.
